DISEASES OF THE EYES
(A) BLEPHRITIS, CONJUNCTIVITIS & STYE
Tiny red papules emerge inwards of eyelashes (conjunctiva) which are classified in two categories as acute and chronic and are called as trachoma.Mucous membranes attach to eyeball and eyelid becomes inflamed and red, Water (lacrym) begins to flow from the effected eye and it is called as conjunctivitis.In between the hair of eyelashes upper or lower a tenderful prominence of red color emerges and it is called Stye.

Itrifal-e-Shahtara:It is useful in eye diseases, reddish state of eyes irritations, restlessness and in the diseases caused due to heat and blood impurities. It is also beneficial in syphilis, itching and skin diseases.
Direction: 5 to 10g to be taken at bedtime with water.

(B) WEAK EYE SIGHT & CATARACT
Excessive brain work, close look on bright & illuminating objects, excess cohabitation, brain and nerves weakness leads early weakness of eyesight.It is said that entrance of catarrhal water into eyes results in cataract. However, with medical point of view, with the advancement of age hair get grey and other changes take place, similarly, eye lens found in eye becomes opaque resulting in nonclear vision. This condition is known as cataract.

Itrifal-e-Kishneezi:-It is useful in chronic cold and the diseases caused due to catarrhal secretions. Removes constipation and is a brain tonic, too.
Direction:- 5 to 10g to be taken with lukewarm water at bed time.

Khamira-e-Abresham Sada:-43Persists eyesight to normal, strengthens brain. It is also useful in palpitation.
Direction: 5g to be taken in the morning with fresh water on empty stomach.

Kohlul Jawahar:This antimony prepared with valuable ingredients persists sharp eyesight, protects the eyes from all diseases.
Direction: Apply in both the eyes with stick (Salai) in the morning and evening.

Surma-e-Noorani:Regular use of this antimony keeps the eyes healthy. It is equallyuse for every age group.
Direction: Apply in both the eyes with the stick (Salai) at bed time.
